Sleeping :
The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double with en-suite bathroom and a twin room with 2 single beds. There is a sofa bed in the living room which will sleep 2. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use including tea towels and 4 pool towels.

General :
The apartment has 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. Air-conditioning / Heating makes this an ideal apartment for year round holidays.

Entertainment :
The apartment has a flat screen TV, DVD/CD, Satellite, an iPod dock & a Wii. There is a selection of books, CD's & DVD's available. Please note you will need to bring your card with you. You may receive all your usual channels but not Sky Movies or Sky Sport.

Eating & living :
There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The compact but well equipped kitchen includes a full sized hob & oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dishwasher, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. Included is all cutlery, crockery, glassware & cooking utensils. For day trips or a day by the pool, there is a chill box, ice packs and plastic salad/sandwich boxes. For little ones there are some plastic cups (with a handles)

Wheelchairs :
Although this apartment is not adapted for disabled use, it does have a ramp from the ground floor to the entrance and a lift from the underground garage and the ground floor to the 1st floor. The family bathroom with shower is large and does have room for your carer, should you wish them to assist.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool (with an on duty life guard during July & August), a lovely manicured garden and two furnished balconies. If you are driving there is an under ground secure garage with allocated space and with well lit outside areas.

Location and Overview
El Limonar is a superb fully air-conditioned luxury apartment situated on the renowned Mijas Golf complex. El Limonar is only 20/25 minutes drive from Malaga airport and Marbella and just a 5 - 10 minute drive from Fuengirola and La Cala both of which have numerous shops, bars, restaurants and beaches.

El Limonar de Mijas Golf is well situated alongside the Los Lagos and Los Olivos courses.

The apartment is spacious, light and airy. The gardens and pool areas are very well looked after and always spotless.

There are two balconies, one at the front with views over the mountains in the distance and an unworked olive grove which is perfect for catching the morning sun. While the larger balcony benefits from the early evening sunshine and over looks the lovely gardens.

The apartment has allocated underground parking for security and safety. Lifts lead directly to each floor from the garage area.

Within a five minute walk there is a taxi pickup point by the Matchroom, which also has a popular bar for evening entertainment.

There are several restaurants within a ten minute walk offering a selection of cuisine with prices to suit a range of budgets.

If you drive or take a taxi you will be spoilt for choice when deciding where to eat.

We do recommend you hire a car during your stay at El Limonar to get the most from your stay.

The Apartment:

This apartment is owned by an English family catering for the needs of those on holiday who want to enjoy the finer things in life.

Our main aim is to ensure that you enjoy your holiday from start to finish.

The apartment is furnished to a very high standard and comprises two large bedrooms, an attractive lounge/dining room with an LCD flat screen TV, satellite (bring your own card, please note you may receive your usual channels but not Sky Sports or Sky Movies) DVD/CD, iPod dock & a Wii. It has a compact but well equipped kitchen with hob, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer and microwave. There are two balconies, one overlooking the swimming pool and garden while the other affords views of the mountains.

The apartment is cleaned before your arrival, should you require additional maid services please request this at the time of booking. There will be an additional charge for this.

The large and airy lounge / dining room opens on to a fully furnished balcony. There are two large sofas in the lounge, one is a double fully sprung sofa bed. There is also a coffee table, a dining table and chairs for 6. There are a few DVD’s, CD’s and books in the apartment for your enjoyment. The compact kitchen if fully equipped with a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine as well as all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. All bed linen and towels are provided including tea towels and POOL TOWELS (4).

The double bedroom has fitted wardrobes and patio doors which open on to the front furnished balcony with views over looking the mountains in the distance and an unworked olive grove. This room further benefits from a luxury marble en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower over the whirlpool bath, bidet, toilet and basin set in a vanity unit. It also enjoys under floor heating.

The twin bedroom also opens on to the same balcony and it too has large fitted wardrobes. The large family bathroom is also marbled and comprises shower, bidet, toilet and basin set in a vanity unit.

Hair dryers are provided in both bedrooms.

The beautifully maintained large garden and spotless pool area is for residents use only and has a gate to keep children safe within the grounds. The pool is cleaned daily and we provide luxury sun beds exclusively for your use.


Q&A

Can the changeover day be varied?
Yes we will try to be flexible to fit in with your travel arrangements. For late or early check-ins you may need to book additional nights accommodation so you can enjoy your holiday for as long as possible

Is the apartment heated in the winter?
Yes, the apartment has central heating and air-conditioning. There is also a small fan heater to boost the temperature if required. The en-suite bathroom has under floor heating.

What T.V channels can I receive?
The property has Satellite TV with access to a limited selection of English speaking channels.

Is the pool in commission all year?
Yes the pool is available all year round however sometimes pool equipment breaks or needs maintenance. We cannot be held responsible if a pool is not in commission due to circumstances beyond our control though every effort will be made to solve any problem as quickly as possible.

Is there a discount for longer lets?
For stays of 4 weeks or longer during the quieter periods please ask us for prices and availability.

Will I have a local contact?
Yes, you will be provided with the name and local phone number of our English speaking representative who you can call if you have any unforeseen problems or if you require advice on anything. This contact will also meet you at the apartment to give you the keys and will give you some useful local information.

Can you organise flights?
Sorry, but we do not organise flights. You will find links to several airline web sites to help you book your flights.

Transfers and Car Hire
We can arrange airport transfers for you, please select this option at the time of booking. All the transfers are carried out by English speaking drivers.

Car Hire – Malaga Airport
The car hire pick up point is located under the baggage reclaim hall. Just before the baggage reclaim exit doors turn right (sign posted BLUE) & go down the ramp to the car hire desk area. There is also a lift available if you prefer.

Car hire companies with cars on site include: Hertz, Europcar, Crown. Before you leave for your holiday it is worth pre-booking your car, this will save you money as well as ensuring you get a vehicle to suit your needs as well as any child seats etc. One of the best deals can be found with CarJet who are a broker for most of the companies named above. CarJet offer substantial savings and they can be found at www.carjet.com
Taxis

At Malaga Airport
Taxis line up outside the arrivals hall, but beware of overcharging and check the sheet posted on the wall, which lists destinations and fares. Agree the price with driver before you get in the car. The chart is clearly displayed on the outside wall by the taxi rank.

There is a taxi pick up point on site within the Mijas Golf complex. About a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Elsewhere, taxis can be flagged down in the street or found at designated ranks, and show a green light when available.

Trains
The train station is a five minute walk from the arrivals hall (llegados). Go up one floor to departures (salidas), take any exit and follow the Ferrocarril signs to the right. (Follow the signs over the footbridge to the train station)You can buy a ticket on the train. Trains run half-hourly to Fuengirola to the west and Malaga to the east.

You will then need to go to the bus station to bring you further down the coast, which is only about 200m from the Fuengirola train station. There is a taxi rank at the bus station.

The apartment has allocated underground parking for security and safety. A lift leads directly to each floor from the garage area.

Leisure facilities
There is a wealth of activities in this area. We have wonderful beaches just a 10 minute drive away at La Cala and Fuengirola. There are water parks, a casino, shops, fishing, sailing all sorts of water sports plus wonderful shopping in Mabella. You can hire quad bikes and head in land to one of the unspoilt villages. If you fancy going further afield take a trip to Gibralter for the day or take the ferry to Morocco!

Restaurants
There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance but if you drive or take a taxi to Feungirola or La Cala or any one of the numerous resorts along the coast you will be spoilt for choice. All types of menus are readily available from burger and chips right through to 5 star luxury restaurants.

Distance from airports/ports
El Limonar is about a 20/25 minute drive from Malaga airport.

Suitability
Pets are not welcome. Although the apartment is not adapted for disabled use there is a lift available from the garage and the ground floor to the 1st floor. The family bathroom is very large and room enough for two should you wish your carer to assist.
