Calanova Golf Course
The apartment overlooks the new 18 hole Calanova Golf Course, fall out of bed and onto the green! Calanova is situated in the heart of the Mijas Golf Valley, between the sea and the Sierra de Mijas Mountains. It has amazing views of the countryside from nearly all the holes. The course is especially challenging to medium handicap players. But this unique location will satisfy the demands of the most experienced golfer, whilst also pleasing the most average of players. Something for all levels! The course has been constructed to USGA standards on the tees, bunkers and greens. The fairways are wide and water features are scattered around the course. The 10th hole, which is a par 5 is considered the most difficult on the course. However the 11th hole requires a tee shot over a deep ravine. After your game relax in the clubhouse for a meal or a drink whilst admiring the view towards the ocean.

La Cala de Mijas
This once, small, fishing village has developed into a hive of tourism in recent years, but it has still managed to retain something of its Andalucian village-by-the-sea atmosphere. The long beaches are well cared for and clean, with soft golden sand and breath-taking views. Some wonderful restaurants and fine dining can be found around town or overlooking the sea.Saturday nights in the hot summer months of July and August are magical in La Cala. The promenade becomes a festival of classical music and Flamenco dancing. With the outline of the old 16th Century watchtower of Torre Vieja as a backdrop and moon reflecting down on the expanse of sea, the village celebrates a season of Noches de Luna y Playa (Nights of Moon and Beach).Various outdoor activities are within a short drive of La Cala. There are several locations in the La Cala hills to enjoy pony-trekking, with professional guides offering riding lessons for the less experienced rider. Or maybe you would prefer to watch the horse races at the fantastic Hipodromo del Sol, located in the hills above La Cala, offering night-time racing during the summer.

Mijas
With its attractive mountain setting, Mijas is a real treat. Whilst catering for tourists, it has still retained most of its charm; narrow winding streets with superb views of the pine clad mountains and the coast below. On the central square you will see the ever-patient donkeys lined up. Adorned with colourful saddles and tassels, they serve as little taxis and can be hired for rides around the town.
