Location type
Gower Edge is a detatched house which used to be our family home until we moved for work. It is situated in the community of Dunvant (which used to be a mining community) on the outskirts of Swansea. The house is within easy walking distance of a small local Spar shop. Turn right out of the driveway and you are almost instantly on the Gower heathland, with the Gower Golf course only a few minutes away with its beautiful views over the Loughour estuary.
Kitchen
The well equipped kitchen has a dual fuel range cooker, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is beakfast seating for four.
Living room
There are three separate living areas in addition to the conservatory (which is unheated). One room has a television and DVD recorder, the biggest room also serves as the Dining room, and a further room has a DVD and video recorder attached to a further television (which does not receive terrestrial channels). The house is well stocked with games and books for children and adults alike, and there is plenty of room to spread out when you are at home.
Dining room
There is breakfast seating for four in the kitchen and a dining table for eight in the front living room.
Bathroom
There is a family bathroom on the first floor with a corner bath and separate shower cubicle. There is an additional cloakroom downstairs.
Bedrooms
There are four double bedrooms on the first floor. I has a kingsized double bed and the other three have twin single beds.
Entertainment
There are numerous bars and restraunts in Swansea and many delightful pubs on the Gower. The Brangwyn Hall holds a number of classical concerts throughout the year, and the Swansea Grand Theatre also has productions throughout the season. In addition to this there are a number of seasonal events and festivals in the area (eg the Dylan Thomas Festival) hosted by Swansea City council.
Outside space
The property has an enclosed rear garden and there are a number of walking tracks which can be accessed from the house without a car.
Laundry
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the conservatory.
Parking
There is off road parking for three cars at the front of the house.
